Will Tiffani Thiessen’s Kids follow in Her Actor Footsteps? The Saved by the Bell Star Says…
View Date:2025-01-07 13:54:06
Tiffani Thiessen was already working to the max before she walked the halls of Bayside High.
After all, the Saved by the Bell star started acting when she was just 9 years old—the same age as her and husband Brady Smith's son Holt. "How crazy is that?" Tiffani marveled in an exclusive interview with E! News. "I was in full blown working mode at my daughter's age."
So, with a former child star for a mom and a dad who is also an actor, it wouldn't be surprising if Holt and his sister Harper, 14, wanted to follow in their parents' footsteps. However, as Tiffani revealed, that isn't exactly the case right now.
"It's funny, I think I would always try to be very open to anything that they came to me and said that they wanted to do," the 50-year-old explained, "but they're kids. Neither one of them have really expressed too much. I think Harper talks about it every now and then. But I can tell it's not something she's driven to right now."
Instead, Harper and Holt are locked in on their favorite sports. For Tiffani's high school freshman, "It's all volleyball."
"That is her passion right now," the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum noted, "and I love that she has something that she really looks forward to. My son is just playing sports—baseball and basketball and skateboarding."
And Tiffani is glad to see her kids following their own interests, adding that when it comes to them acting, "No pushing over here."
However, should they ever want to pursue it as a career, she and Brady, 52, would back them 100 percent. "I would, of course, be open and supportive," she emphasized, "but we're not having to worry about that."
Still, Tiffani has been able to bond with her kids over her past work, including revisiting White Collar—which she starred in opposite Matt Bomer and Tim DeKay. "My daughter literally just finished the entire show," she revealed, "and absolutely says that it's her favorite show now."
She continued, "We actually got to watch a lot of it together, and it was really fun to go through it again with her."
But while Tiffani's kids right now prefer watching shows versus starring in them, life in the Thiessen-Smith house is still more than little busy for the working mom of two—especially as the school year begins. So luckily, when it comes to dinner, Tiffani is saved by the bell.
“My kids, if they were to choose what to make, it would definitely be pepperoni pizza,” she said. “So, I will say that we are big pizza lovers over here at our house.”
As such, it’s fitting that the actress partnered with Hormel Pepperoni ahead of National Pepperoni Pizza Day on Sept. 20, encouraging fans to request PTO—Pepperoni Time Off, of course—for a chance to win the Ultimate HORMEL Pepperoni Pizza Lover’s Getaway to either NYC or Chicago during National Pizza Month in October.
“We're showing how it could be a great day to take off from work or life," she explained, "to celebrate what I think is one of the best pizzas out there: pepperoni pizza."
